By blending group counseling techniques with individualized therapy, our intensives enable you to identify obstacles, reprocess distressing experiences, and develop the resources necessary to live in greater freedom. Leadership can be isolating. This intensive is designed to help people explore the demands of leadership, why the lead they way they do, and how their leadership impacts others.

Group counseling allows people to learn more about themselves alongside others in similar circumstances. With the help of our clinically trained therapists, these environments tend to reduce isolation, increase perspective, and promote sustainable change. Understanding Anxiety
Thursdays from 5:30-7:00pm
January 16 – March 6
This group is intended to help teenagers understand and navigate different types of anxiety. If you are currently in 9th-12th grade and are looking to develop some resources to help regulate anxiety, then this is the group for you. Limited to 10 participants per session.

Understanding Disordered Eating Patterns
Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30pm
January 29 – March 5
This group is designed to help people learn more about disordered eating patterns and what is behind them. Limited to 10 participants per session.

Sharpening Social Skills
Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30pm
April 29 – May 27
This group is designed to help people improve their relationships by increasing their emotional and social intelligence. Limited to 10 participants per session.

Our Approach

Whether you are looking to manage anxiety and depression, transform problematic thoughts and behaviors, recover from trauma, or restore your relationships, our clinical intensives are a great way to jump start your healing process. These intensives allow people to do 3-6 months of therapy over four days.

Where is the Counseling Center at Seacoast located?

How will you protect my privacy?

We take your privacy very seriously by ensuring HIPAA compliance in every aspect of our practice.

What is the goal of a counseling intensive?

Our intensives are designed to help people discover their challenges and develop the resources necessary to reach their therapeutic goals.

Can I register someone other than myself for an intensive?

Yes, you can complete the initial registration for someone else, but the subsequent intake information must be completed by the participant(s).

What is the schedule for a counseling intensive?

Below is a sample schedule of what to expect during your experience:

Monday:

8:30 Arrival and light breakfast

8:45 Welcome and introduction

9:00 Session1

9:30 Break

10:00-1:00pm Private therapy

Tuesday –Thursday:

8:30 Arrival and light breakfast

8:45 Session 2

9:15 Break

9:30-12:30 Private therapy

Your afternoons are free so you can enjoy the beautiful Charleston area.
Our team is happy to provide recommendations of how you can make the most of your time here.

What are the credentials of your therapists?

As a minimum requirement, all of our therapists have a Masters degree from an accredited university in a counseling-related field of study.

What are the cost and payment policies for a counseling intensive?

Individual Intensive: $2,000

Couples Intensive: $2,500

A deposit of $500 is due upon registration and is non-refundable after 48 hours. Payment can be made in full or broken into 3 equal payments with the full balance due 30 days prior.

Do you only offer Christian counseling?

We understand that not every client wants counseling within a biblical perspective. Our therapists understand how to honor the unique needs of the individual regardless of their faith background.

Does the counseling center accept insurance?

No. We do not accept insurance coverages or file insurance claims.

Do I have to be a Christian to see one of your therapists?

No. While we are a Christ-centered practice, our services are available to everyone.

Can I cancel or change my registration?

Payments can be canceled without penalty within the first 48 hours of submission. After 48 hours, payments are non-refundable. We cannot offer any refunds within 30 days of arrival. However, we are happy to reassign any payments to a later date if conflicts arise.

What are the areas of expertise for our counselors?

Our therapists are trained to work with those who have been affected by simple or complex trauma, grief, problematic behavior and addictive patterns, broken relationships and betrayal, spiritual wounds.
